Jarod joined the Synthetic Human team doing grip and dolly work on the 2008 crime-drama Drain. The crew soon discovered Jarod’s sharp, outgoing thespian personality, and Jarod began starring in several Synthetic Human films. He received acting accolades for his role as the troubled and mentally unstable titular character in the Hayden Blades’-inspired film ROMANaBOTTLE in 2009. He followed that with a Best Ensemble Acting win at the A3F festival for his role in the 2010 film Being Nigel, which he also co-wrote with Charlie Steak.

Jarod is also an accomplished composer, scoring several Synthetic Human films. He is most often Synthetic’s chief boom operator and is a very skilled sound engineer.
