Brad is a photographer with a passion for capturing the magic that happens behind the smoke and mirrors. He has been a visual artist since he could hold a pencil, and settled on photography in college when he experienced working in the dark room for the first time. Since then he has moved away from film photography and now shoots digitally.

He has been involved behind the scenes with many of Synthetic Human’s projects since Not Quite Dead in 2006. He believes that his job is to translate what he sees, through his lens, to the viewer with little interpretation. His method of keeping out of sight and allowing the action to unfold in front of his lens without disturbing the set has earned him the title of “Photo Ninja” from the Synthetic Human crews.

In 2008 Brad met activist Sonny Harper, and commenced Project Confidence for the next 2 years, which is a confidence and esteem-building series of courses for female prisoners in the Arizona penal system, culminating in a “glamour” shoot as their graduation gift. This program is responsible for lowering the recidivism rate among its graduates by up to 50%.
